2. Hiring of Research Associate

Sindh Bureau of Statistics, Planning & Development Department is currently seeking Research Associate purely on temporary basis to join our team who are doing research on Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey (MICS) data in the area of Education Sector/ Education Economics. The role involves conducting background research, data collection and analysis, creating and maintaining knowledge resources, and offering support related to research in the area of Education Sector/ Education Economics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aiding in background research, literature review, collecting and analyzing data, and other technical tasks using statistical software (Stata, SPSS, R).
• Understanding of Micro-data and, Conduct Key Informant Interviews and Focus Group Discussion
• Perform Econometrical modelling, Report writing, referencing through Zotero or EndNote documentation, knowledge creation, and sharing.
• Production of Publications.

Qualification:

• Possesses Master’s degree (MS/ MPhil) 18 years schooling in Economics/ Development Economics/ Statistics/ Econometrics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience (research/ academic/ administrative).
• Experience working in development economics research using econometric analysis will be an advantage.
• Minimum two published peer-reviewed Research Papers of relevant field in the HEC recognized Journals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A collaborative team player
